چکیده
Over the last decades, renewable and clean energy sources are being rigorously adopted along with carbon capture technologies to tackle increasing dioxide (CO2) concentration level in environment. CO2 is a quintessential option for tackling global warming issues. In this context, present paper has reviewed process intensification equipment called rotating packed bed (RPB), which highly industry applicable due high gravity (HiGee) force. This facilitates strong mass transfer characteristics, compact design, low consumption. review, current research scenario of RPBs using numerical, computational fluid dynamics (CFD), mathematical modelling, different machine learning approaches process, been reviewed. The geometry designs, hydrodynamic performance parameters, methods, their effects on removal efficiency have discussed. Furthermore, latest experimental studies also summarized, especially absorption adsorption domain. Finally, recommendations given support industrial commercial applications removal.

Modelling radiative heat transfer in packed beds
A comprehensive approach for modelling dependent radiative heat transfer in beds of large (geometric range) spherical particles is presented. Such a system of large spheres lies in the dependent range even for large porosities. We show that the dependent properties for a bed of opaque spheres can be obtained from their independent properties by scaling the optical thickness while leaving the al...
متن کاملA critical review of dispersion in packed beds
The phenomenon of dispersion (transverse and longitudinal) in packed beds is summarized and reviewed for a great deal of information from the literature. Dispersion plays an important part, for example, in contaminant transport in ground water flows, in miscible displacement of oil and gas and in reactant and product transport in packed bed reactors. There are several variables that must be con...
متن کاملFlow through Packed Beds and Fluidized Beds
Chemical engineering operations commonly involve the use of packed and fluidized beds. These are devices in which a large surface area for contact between a liquid and a gas (absorption, distillation) or a solid and a gas or liquid (adsorption, catalysis) is obtained for achieving rapid mass and heat transfer, and particularly in the case of fluidized beds, catalytic chemical reactions. You wil...
متن کاملA review of dough rheological models used in numerical applications
The motivation for this work is to propose a first thorough review of dough rheological models used in numerical applications. Although many models have been developed to describe dough rheological characteristics, few of them are employed by researchers in numerical applications. This article reviews them in detail and attempts to provide new insight into the use of dough rheological models.
متن کاملNumerical modelling of microforming processes
It is well recognized that expertise, experience, and theoretical knowledge available in conventionally sized metal forming cannot be simply transferred to microforming. This is due to so-called size effects which have distinct effect on material flow, friction and other process characteristics [1,2]. Today, process simulation is a standard tool in industry, applied to support process layout an...
